Sand drags are big news in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia and becoming more relevant across the region as a whole. With crowds more often than not into the tens of thousands and support for drivers and teams, at levels not seen anywhere else in Motorsport, it is seemingly big business.
As an example, around 40,000 people made the trip to soak in one of the recent events at Al Maneyeh, which is 300 kms away from the Saudi capital Riyadh. Exactly – BIG numbers! To put that into perspective, it’s not far off what Yas Marina gets along for the F1 weekend.

Sure does.. need to host a sand drags on site at the DA during the same weekend as the UAE National racing.
