Since the international motorsport scene kicked into gear last month, we’ve seen thrills and a few spills in Italy, Mexico, Portugal, Sweden, Australia, Malaysia and – naturally – Dubai and Abu Dhabi. But not Egypt.

Granted Egypt may not spring to mind when we consider on-track competition, but throw in a few tuned saloon cars, a cheering crowd, a few Red Bull dollars and a line-up of drivers adept at driving a car sideways while the rear tyres are alight, and my how the picture changes.

Such is the Red Bull Car Park Drift. Those of who’ve already seen our Abu Dhabi event coverage will have a good idea what’s involved. We doubt the newcomers among you will be disappointed >>>
