The UAE based Oryx Racing pair of Humaid Al Masaood and Steven Kane exceeded all expectations in their first run aboard their Mazda-powered Lola prototype, by running the pole car of Chris Dyson a close second on the grid by only 0.173 of a second! Considering it was the teams first run in the Dyson built Lola-Mazda, not to mention their first experience of Lime Rock, everyone pulled the skills out of the bag giving the Dyson group their first clean sweep of the front row since the 2006 Portland Grand Prix.

Both Steven and Humaid surprised everyone with their pace and consistency over the course of practice and qualifying in the treacherous conditions brought on by the heavy rain throughout the day.  They both sit pretty for a great race so fingers crossed for a superb first result!
