We’re no strangers to historic engine sounds that leave us weak at the knees. Our mutual friend Jon Sands has helped us out immensely in that regard with on-board footage of a Porsche 917 and a Can-Am McLaren M8F. Now we take an ear-splitting walk down a British memory lane courtesy of the Jaguar XJR-12.
Driven by Justin Law – he of Goodwood Festival of Speed fame for those of you ducking beneath the media spotlight – this Bud Light edition is taken for a few laps around Oulton Park as part of a recent CarFest North demonstration.
And if you’re wondering just how arse-puckering it must be to take this early 90s turbocharged classic to the redline, just remember that the XJR-12 took victories at both Daytona and the 24 Hours of Le Mans, as well as podium finishes at the Sebring 12 Hours. Hardly venues where Miss Daisy would have enjoyed her afternoon saunter…
