Regular visitors to crankandpiston – and fans of modified Porsches – will already be familiar with the world of RAUH-Welt Begriff, better known as RWB. The brand founded by eccentric Japanese auto-genius Akira Nakai has seen dozens of unique modified Porsches created around the world. We oversaw the production of one such car right here in Dubai.

Critics of the cars often accuse them of being style over substance, of ruining the Porsche’s handling through outlandish design. But we reckon this vid prove that RWBs are built to be driven, not just looked at. RWB owners from Thailand made this little movie about their trip to Japan to take part in the Idlers 12 Hours race, along with dozens of other RWB cars and owners. It looks like they had an awesome time, and with that much gorgeous metal to gawp at, who can blame them?
