Good friend and all round hot-shoe, Rob Cregan, is back in the UAE, relaxing after an intense/successful debut season in the feeder series to the greatest Touring Car championship on the planet (need we mention?) – The Fujitsu V8 Supercars.

So the big question is, what does a young racer do in his down time? Oh yeah, that’s right! Get’s back behind the wheel of a car and gives it beans around the Yas Marina Circuit.

Thanks to the team at Gulf-Sport who offered up an FG1000 for him to get some track time with, Rob laid down some rapid times, kept his eye in and more importantly, kept the itch at bay.

For Phil it's all about the car, the quality of content and the story. Having experienced life on both sides of the automotive business, the unbridled urge to set up his own unique motoring website led to crankandpiston.com being founded in his spare room. The rest as they say is history.
