Although motor shows are generally about promoting and flogging road cars, it does no harm at all to add a liberal smattering of racing machinery to one’s stand. After all, who doesn’t like a racing car? Dubai Motor Show was no exception, so let’s take a quick look at the speed demons flaunting themselves for the Arabian populous. With the Abu Dhabi F1 Grand Prix weekend in full swing as we write this, we’re hoping that this Red Bull Racing RB7 is a mock up. Or Sebastian Vettel’s going to be annoyed.

Subaru’s got serious motorsport history, so to see an Impreza – complete with race-earned cracked windscreen – was no surprise.

We weren’t expecting to see this frankly awesome Super GT though. Hooray for something unexpected, low and bewinged.
