The sixth running of the Dubai 24 Hours endurance race lit up Motor City over the weekend, and we were there with our cameras to soak it all in.

A huge field of 84 cars took the start grid at the city’s Autodrome, with teams and drivers traveling from all over the world to battle it out through the night in what many regard as the jewel in the UAE’s racing calendar.

Here’s our pick of the action.

With such an impressive array of machinery on the track, it’s important to hold one’s own on the road. Here’s the Jag XKR we borrowed, complete with new Black and Aerodynamic packs. Because we’re generous, we leant it to the guys from Speedhunters, who were over with the Team Need For Speed BMWs.

Always room on the grid for some American muscle.  Multiple UAE Champion, Mr Karim Al Azhari was behind the wheel of this, the VDS Adventures Matech Mustang once again.  Sadly engine grumbles forced them out early on in the running.

Endurance racing isn’t just about the cars. It’s about the, er, atmosphere. And the shoes. Or something.

The Duel Racing lads show why ladies love racing drivers. It’s the calm professionalism and mysterious allure, you see.
