The suprisingly (oddly) stunning Vanina Ickx, daughter of the six-time winner at Le Mans, was given the honour of lapping the famous Le Sarthe track in the new Citroen Survolt concept car over the Classic Le Mans weekend.

As we previously mentioned the Survolt is powered by two electric motors that are capable of 300bhp, a top speed of 162mph and a 0-60mph in just under five seconds.

The two batteries are capable of a 124-mile range so it would be more than capable of lapping in race conditions before needing to be plugged into the grid. The charge takes 10 hours on 220 volts.

Word on the street is that Citroen are thinking very strongly about getting the Survolt out in the hands of customers for a one make race series…Let’s hope that actually happens and it’s not all hot air.
