Saudi racing driver¬†Abdulaziz Turki Al Faisal scored an impressive podium finish in the ADAC GT Masters series when he finished third at Germany’s Sachsenring circuit.

The Saudi Falcons racer, driving with Mirko Bortolotti with the Schubert Motorsport team’s BMW Z4 GT3, followed up a disappointing result in the weekend’s first race with a great performance in race two against 43 other cars.

Al Faisal is the only Arab driver racing in the ADAC GT Masters, which is one of the world’s biggest GT3 championships. In race two of the second round of this season’s racing, Al Faisal took over from Bortolotti in fifth place midway through – the same position in which they qualified. He climbed to third in front of 25,000 spectators, finishing just behind former Dubai 24 Hour race winner Edward Sandstrom, after posting the second fastest lap of the race.

The Red Bull athlete now turns his attention to this weekend’s Le Mans 24 Hours.
