Squint, and you might mistake this for a McLaren F1. Or the Mp4-12C for that matter. “But, ah ha, no no no”, I hear you cry, “the front air intake is too big, and the bonnet grooves are all wrong. So it must be the new Vencer Sarthe.”
Correct. Like the Tushek Renovatio T500 we brought you not too long ago, this example from Holland is the latest addition to the ever-burgeoning sportscar throng. But unlike its’ Slovenian counterpart, the Sarthe actually hails from Holland.
Yep, we were thinking Le Mans too…
First some details to get you warmed up. Carbon fibre panels and an aluminium space frame make for a lightweight package. Add to that a 510bhp V8, mid-engined layout and a six-speed manual gearbox, and the Sarthe looks like being quite a pokey little devil. Indeed, a 3.8s 0-100kph time and a 326kph top speed back that up.
This being a newboy on the scene, it shouldn’t surprise you to learn that ‘very limited’ numbers are available, and that prices are being kept in the dark. Still, if you’re debating whether the Sarthe is worth the punt, the opportunity to win $5000 through the Vencer design contest might inspire you.
