It’s been some seven years since the death of the Honda NSX, and fans of the legendary mid-engined sportscar haven’t stopped pining, hoping one day that it could return. We didn’t hold out a great deal of hope in these modern times of eco-friendliness, and consoled ourselves with wistful visits to YouTube.

But Honda has heard the call of the faithful, and finally responded with this – the NSX Concept. Unveiled at the Detroit Motor Show, it’s a concept that could herald a production version within three years. Developed in the US, it stays true to its predecessor with a mid-mounted V6 engine, although this concept is an all-wheel drive hybrid. There has to be some concession to modernity, we guess. Still, roll on 2015!
