Lamborghini has revealed the next car in its limited-run archive – the Centenario LP 770-4 – at this month’s Geneva Motor Show. The unveil comes just a few weeks after images of the new Raging Bull were leaked online.

With just 40 units being made (20 coupes and 20 roadsters), the new Centenario joins the likes of the Reventon, Sesto Elemento, Aventador J and Veneno in the manufacturer’s line-up of limited-edition models. Unsurprisingly, all 40 of the Centenario are sold, each for a cool $2.3 million. Based on the Aventador platform, the model has been created to celebrate the 100th birthday of company founder Ferruccio Lamborghini.

Powering the model is the 6.5-litre V12 from the Aventador SV. It’s not completely the same though, since Lamborghini has added another 19bhp, bringing total output to 759bhp. Maximum revs have also been increased from 8350rpm to 8600rpm, too. Weighing in at 1520kg, the cars power-to-weight ration sits at an impressive 499bhp/ton, meaning it can sprint from 0-100kph in a crazy-quick 2.8 seconds and hit a top speed of 349kph.

Key elements of that batshit exterior design include an angular carbon-fibre body with emphasised air intakes and an ultra-low nose for added downforce. There’s even an active rear wing that extends and rotates to aid aerodynamics. The model gets carbon-ceramic brakes and sits on a set of forged aluminium wheels, which are 20in up front and 21in out back. On the inside is a pair of carbon-fibre seats, carbon-wrapped details and Alcantara trim. A 10inch touchscreen infotainment system, which is connected to the Internet, is also featured, including Apple CarPlay.
