Amid the glamour of Monster-sponsored superstars, glitzy events and incredible cars, it’s easy to forget that drifting started where everything started – small, and local. That’s why we love this video from the guys at WreckEm.com.au, who made the trip from Australia to Japan to check out the local drift scene at the famous Ebisu track.

A world away from the big-bucks and corporate sponsorship of international drifting, here are the local guys and gals siding – and crashing – their battle-scarred, home engineered drift machines and having a bloody good time doing it. And isn’t that what it’s all about? Doriftu!
