Two days before doors open, Geneva may be stealing a lot of Motor Show headlines, but leaked images (sort of) of the new SRT Viper means next month’s New York Auto Show has inched its way back into the spotlight.

These latest pictures of the SRT Viper Hot Wheels model have recently been leaked onto the web, just a few weeks after the original low resolution rendering disclosed the project. This was swiftly followed by an artistic interpretation.

The Hot Wheels images give us the best indication yet of the 2013 SRT Viper design, aside from official teasers. A dual-hump roof design and a pronounced bonnet scoop are among the notable components, while the rear fenders have also drawn comparisons to Ferrari’s new F12 Berlinetta.

The model, however, will not be marketed as a Dodge, the name being dropped from the project last year after SRT established itself as a stand-alone outfit.

‘Boys and their toys’ has never seemed more appropriate >>>
