The speed with which Pagani stamped its authority on the hypercar scene is frankly remarkable. Hard to believe the marque powered onto the scene with the Zonda C12 long ago as 1999. Indeed, even before that, Pagani had already worked alongside Lamborghini on the 25th Anniversary Countach and been busy designing its first car – originally labeled the Fangio F1 – in the late 1980s.

Since then the Zonda has refused to call it a day, its ever-growing fanbase refusing to allow such a thing. Special Edition models have thus been rolling out the factory gates with almost comical regularity since the Zonda’s inception, and one wonders how long Pagani will keep twiddling its thumbs before penning a new one. Still, before that, the much-anticipated Huayra will make its global bow next year, and the automotive world can’t wait to get its grubby mitts on that.

Pagani founder, and namesake, Horacio has clearly established his empire well, and a documentary chronicling his life and achievements to date is already well into production. So far Pagani has only released parts one and two, and we already counting the days for the final three installments.
