Given our recent stray into only partially known territory with the Harley Davidson Road Glide, we thought we’d amble a little further down this two-wheeled route by introducing you to this.

The Harley Davidson Motor Co. Archive Collection, as the title suggests, is a detailed history of the American powerhouse, author Darwin Holstrom chronicling the company’s development from its earliest beginnings way back in 1901 all the way up to the 21st century trailblazers we know today.

Now words like ‘archive’ on the front cover may have some of you worried that a centennial collection will include an awful lot of text. A fair amount, yeah, but you’ll also find a great deal of high resolution imagery from Randy Leffingwell and a quick insight into some of the marque’s more famous examples.

If the four-wheel purists amongst you still aren’t convinced, how about this: 408 pages, 600 colour images, $30. There’s not much to argue about there.
