We came across Curb Industries through crankandpiston contributor John Szczupack in the US and loved the idea that they had come up with. Curb is a garage project launched by transportation designers in Southern California. It was founded as the result of our passion for cars, graphic design, and a little frustration with the lack of tasteful apparel for auto enthusiasts.

Curb Industries T-Shirts feature various illustrations by Alan and Stuart Macey, in addition to a collaboration with concept artist Daniel Simon. The T-shirts are lovingly printed by a local screen printer in Encinitas California. Each shirt is produced in extremely limited quantities, not exceeding 500 prints in any 1 color, and can be considered a piece of automotive art.

Over the years our close relationship with Art Center College of Design has resulted in the development of a Vehicle Architecture course and accompanying hand book “H-Point – The Fundamentals of Car Design and Packaging”.

We look forward to continuing our role in automotive design education and helping to demystify the design process for aspiring car designers and engineers all over the world.

We approach the future of Curb with a sky’s the limit attitude. In the short term we intend to expand the apparel side of the brand, and in the long term who knows, maybe we’ll do a car of our own!
