We were thinking at crankandpiston, how do we aptly celebrate the mid-point of 2012. A day with a Ferrari 458 Italia, McLaren MP4-12C and a Lamborghini Aventador? Yep, that’ll do it nicely. But that certainly not all we’ve been doing in June…

Kicking off On The Road was our jaunt to America with Volkswagen, the Boss 302 Mustang, and the Toyota 86. We’ve considered 45 Years of AMG, wondered how the Jaguar XKRS compares with a skydive, and had a wander down to ORZ Performance. We’ve also considered the Novitec Ferrari FF, the new Mercedes SLS AMG GT and Bosozoku style and raised an eyebrow at both the 2013 and FAB Design McLaren MP4-12C. We’ve also spent time with the Mercedes ML500, the Jeep Grand Cherokee SRT8, and with a childhood hero, the Lancia Delta Integrale HF Evo II. The Ford Focus and newboys Toyota Camry and Infiniti G37S have led the Management Fleet way in the past few weeks, and (shush!) a Harley Davidson has made its way into our garage again.

There’s still plenty to entertain you On The Track as the temperatures continue to rack up. We’ve had a quick look at the Lotus Exige rally car, gone for a spin in the Mercedes SLS AMG GT3, and kept an eye on the King of Europe drift event. We’ve also brought you a round-up of – and driver perspective from – the Le Mans 24hrs courtesy of Saudi Arabia driver Abdulaziz Turki AlFaisal.

It would be remiss to forget Lifestyle. After all, we’ve had a look at the MME car meet and KW suspension controlled by your iPhone, and been humbled by the abandoned MG dealership in Doha. Our evening reading this month has included The Art of the Supercar and the Harley Davidson Archive Collection. There’s been the oddity that is Porsche Bottle Cooler, the potential gift that is the B.R.M. Records watch, and we’ve even taken a shot at restaurant reviewing at the newly opened Ducati Caffe. Don’t forget our Hugo Boss competitions either.

Fans of performance machines will want to check out our Vision section. As well as a Lamborghini duelling with an F-16 Fighting Falcon, the Le Mans 24hrs build-up and the photoshoot of a V8 Supercar, we’ve brought you the CTR Yellowbird, a sliding Mercedes C63 AMG Black, and a selection of Porsches at Grand Central Terminal. You might get a chuckle from Una Familia Lowrider, the passion of car ownership, and the Land Rover LR4 Pursuit. Mark Webber’s Red Bull with wings might interest some of you too, as hopefully will Chris Harris’ rallying BMW 325i. Also, any fans of MotorHead…?

And if that’s not enough, there is – as ever – still time to check out our Galleries and our Shots of the Day.
