It’s a new month, and we’ve got plenty of petrol-infused entertainment heading your way over the next four weeks. In the meantime, we figured we’d remind you of the entertainment we’ve already brought you courtesy of some unseen images.
Our recent trips to Panda Performance and Performance Motor Spares got us thinking about our previous jaunt to Chrome and Carbon, and the DMC Garden Grove in California. Digging a little deeper, we also stumbled across TAM Auto Engineering.
The UAE motorsport scene is closing down, the Drift UAE finale probably the last we’ll see for a while. But that’s not all the Dubai Autodrome has brought us at crankandpiston. Anybody remember the Dubai 24hrs, the Nissan Juke and Formula Gulf 1000?
Our recent Infiniti trip to the USA got us thinking about some of our other overseas jaunts. We’ve been to Spain to check out the Porsche Panamera GTS, to Portugal for a go in the Mini Coupe Roadster, to Korea for some time in the Kia Rio, and to Bahrain for a couple of laps with the McLaren MP4-12C. The international fridge magnet collection is stacking up…
The ’73 Chevrolet Impala got us thinking about the ’62 model we stumbled across on our doorstep, but they’re hardly the only examples of Chevrolet on crankandpiston. As well as the Management Fleet Camaro SS, we’ve spent time with the 45th Anniversary Edition (and both of them together), attended the inaugural Chevy Knights, and ogled a Stingray in London, the Corvette C1, and the OK Go music video.
Just a few days to go before the Le Mans 24hrs. Our man on the ground in the US has been bringing us great coverage from the American Le Mans Series, but let’s not forget about our guys in Europe bringing us action from the Blancpain Endurance Series and the Nurburgring 24hrs, and in the Middle East keeping us up-to-date with the Red Bull X-Fighters.
We’ve got some new camera equipment at crankandpiston, and we figured the Management Fleet Lexus CT200h would make a good test mule. But that’s hardly the first time we’ve experienced, or stumbled across, non-internal combustion motoring. We went to Portugal for some time with the BMW ActiveHybrid 5, spent time with the Tesla Roadster, and the Fahrradi Farfalla FFX tweaked our interest. And let’s not forget this BMW 3 Series.
