Once again, the crankandpiston team has been hunting high and low to bring you the news, the gossip, the insane, and just plain weird from the automotive world. And we want to see what you can find with the launch of our new smartphoneography gallery.

A FAB-designed Porsche Panamera – spotted by our eagle-eyed scout in Jeddah, Saudi Arabia – got the regional bodykit ball rolling this month, and was swiftly followed by a ridonculous Chevrolet Corvette C1 and souped up BMW e30 M3. We didn’t want you to miss out on Jaguar’s new supercharged V6 engine though, and made sure you got an eyeful of a new Pagani Zonda R for the road. We even welcomed two members to the Management Fleet: an all-new Ford Focus and (gasp!) hybrid Lexus CT200h.

The Middle East motorsport season may be drawing to a close, but there’s still be plenty of action. Pro Drag Racing at the Yas Marina Circuit got the hairs standing on end, as did a round-up of the 2011/2012 Western Gulf Association Supercars season. We had a quick chat with the newly crowned UAE Touring Car and Clio Cup Champions, found out how our Red Bull competition winners enjoyed their night at the Dubai X-Fighters event, and showed you just what you can do with a Caterham R300 on a rally stage.

The big news of late was Lambo’s new Urus, and we were soon on the hunt for other unorthodox creations from the marque. As well as a graffiti-ed Jaguar XKR and Dubai Autodrome’s The Chase, we also added to the Jacky Ickx Edition V Chopard watch and McLaren: The Art of Racing book to your birthday wish lists.

We’ve not neglected our Vision and Gallery pages, and our Shots Of The Day continue to go from strength to strength.
