Bremont’s new classic Jaguar watches

Inspired by the classic E-Type, Bremont has created two new Jaguar watches.

Luxury watchmaker Bremont has teamed up with Jaguar to create two new timepieces inspired by the classic E-Type.

The latest watches were brought into life by the Bremont design team and Jaguar‘s director of design Ian Callum, and focus on the E-Type’s dashboard – in particular, the speedometer and tachometer. Those two features directly influenced the look of the new Bremont Jaguar MK1 and MKII.

The MKI (above, left) is designed to be a more accessible version of Bremont’s original, limited edition ‘Lightweight’ chronometers, produced with Jaguar last year to mark the creation of the six Lightweight E-Type models by Jaguar Heritage. The tachometer-inspired MKI therefore reproduces many of the original’s design features, but in stainless steel rather than white gold and aluminium. At the back of the 43mm case, the automatic winding weight is styled after the three-spoke E-Type steering wheel, complete with Jaguar growler in the centre.

The MKII’s black speedo-inspired chronograph dial carries the Jaguar heritage logo and two subdials. The back again features the steering wheel design, while the winding crown features a tyre tread design. Both watches come with a perforated ‘racing’ strap.

You can see a video about the original chronometers below.
