2015 Le Mans artwork. 24 images in 24 hours

Form and Function produces 24 incredible hand-drawn images during the 2015 24 Hours of Le Mans

On the run-up to this year’s Le Mans, many of us were considering how many of those 24 hours we would watch live and just how much Red Bull it would take to do so.

If you’re Jayson Fong on the other hand (and some of our more regular readers may recognise that name), you opt for something…a little more ambitious: 24 hand-drawn images in 24 hours, to be exact.

And don’t think ‘#24forLM24’ was a challenge taken lightly either. The detailing of each is pretty incredible, but so is the variety of the artwork. As well as Porsche’s winning #19 919 Hybrid, Jayson also put pen to rapidly blurring paper to create Audi’s R18 e-tron Quattro, Aston Martin’s V8 Vantage GTE, and Riley Motorsport’s Dodge Viper SRT GTS-R among others.

Even more impressive, the man behind Form and Function also penned several of this year’s most notable incidents. Tale for instance Jan Magnussen’s enormous shunt pre-race in the #63 Corvette Racing C7.R, Loic Duval’s R18 tangling with the #51 AF Corse Ferrari 458 Italia GT2, fire on the Mulsanne Straight for the #92 Porsche Team Manthey 911 RSR, the #21 Nissan GT-R LM Nismo losing its door, and the #36 Signatech Alpine A450B beaching itself in the gravel trap. Oh, and don’t forget Ford’s news about the new GT program in 2016.

Those of you growing impatient for this year’s Le Mans highlight reel may have found an alternative…
