Was expecting to see the Sprint Challenge but stumbling on to a track evening in progress doesn't hurt as a substitute.

Risi was demonic as usual, seemed Cabell was glad to have a GT3 RS as a backup car though as I think it ended up getting more laps!

Lap 57 Civics very impressive - for homebrew cars they've cone a long way and are now not only fast but pretty reliable as well it seems. Whoever's up against them has their work cut out when the season starts since it seems the Lap 57 crew will be fielding reliable, well sorted macines from the start.

One random green 968 with Alex Renner stickers on it...not sure who it belongs to but if it's racing it'll be interesting given what we've seen from Steve Adams in the 944.

Always good to see a few n00bs out there too - a virgin, stocking blue Evo, a Mustanag GT and a newish S2000 (all informally tied to the Lap 57 posse), as well as a GTR and a 997 Carerra, all seemed to all be runing well and improving a lot on what seemed to be their first track night.

For the drivers, those half full track nights are always a real blessing - just plenty of open tarmac and little traffic.

We shall see what happens as September and October roll in with the cooler weather and more chaps to play...expecting to see some full track evenings coming up as 2009 fades.

Better get cracking on the ultramobile!
